Well one way to find out if the library was created would be to just check 
device properties and it will indicate wheather or not what is the media 
type selected.
If it is wrong just re-create the library.
Other issues
1. Verify correct and recent drivers\firmware for Devices and Libary
2. Check Library options and timer values are appropriate.
3. Check CDI flag & experiment on Devices.
4. Check SCSI adaptor settings.
