What is the default if there is no library or local tape devices on the primary server? Will NetWorker just automatically send the index to the snode?

How exactly do you adapt the pools? That sounds like something that would be required if you still had a library on the primary server, but if all you have are snodes then it would be moot to select specific devices or groups under the pools to control this since it has no local library to write to anyway, correct?

Yes, no problem. You can adapt your pools or an easier way would be to create
a file device on the backup server, backup the indexes to
the file devices and then use nsrstage for moving index and
bootstrap to another pool on the sn.

Objet : [Networker] How to save primary server's index to storage node?

Is it possible to have the primary backup server's index get written to
a storage node?

We have a tape library attached to the server. It writes its data to the
storage node, but its index always gets written to the local tape
drives. We'd prefer to use only storage nodes, no local tape library.

Thanks.
