We have an ongoing problem with our backups at two sites (networker
7.1.3 - windows 2000). The master server trys to restart nsrmmd services
during the backups and an nsrindexd failure is reported in the event
viewer- usually at the weekend when the server is busy. The nsrmmd
services may not be restarted for approx three hours. Backups are
running on these storage nodes at the time this occurs so all backups
fail on these storage nodes.

I have been asked to change the shared section values in the registry of
this windows 2000 server. The article is a bit confusing - has anyone
made these changes and could tell me exactly what should I changed the
third entry to OR should I delete it altogether?

At present my registry entry for the windows shared section is set to
1024 3072 512 512

Thanks, Mark
