Are you running tcp659j.exe? The later versions of tcp/ip you end up with
communication errors..
I have been running the jumbo patch now for about a week with much success on
one of my production servers. I know it is only one but it is one of my
biggest servers with several millions files on it, so it is my acid test here.
On a similar note tho, I have discovered that the auto tuning memory in netware
is causing networker some problems (the 4.22 and 7.2 clients), on some of my
servers. It is lowering the File Cache Maximum Size to a point where NWPA
starts having problems (you start seeing short term memory alloc complains from
nwpa), and the backups hang. By setting the File Cache Maximum size back up to
the default 2GB, the backups unhang themselves and start going again. You can
turn "Auto Tune Server Memory" off to stop it from re-occuring, however Novell
recommends that setting be left on, so I am using it only were needed right
now. I sent this off to Novell for them to check into. Hold on... getting
mail back from them now... They want to see this... I'll send a follow up to
the list later..

Hi,
We had the same problem. Our 4 Netware 6.5 Sp4 Servers had some abends
during backup. After the legato jumbo Patch for the Client 7.2 we have
installed. The servers backup sometimes but sometimes they say "resource is
busy" or the "connection timed out". Have you the same feeling with your
servers?
Bye
Martin

FYI,
Of course Legato released this patch after we upgraded 5 NetWare servers and
experienced lots of grief and pain (not to mention abends).
Hope this patch will help your on your installs/upgrades.
