John,
I was not aware ADIC are shipping Scalar i2000's with HP LTO-3 drives
yet? I have seen several and each has been IBM, indeed their web site
has no HP LTO-3 drive mentioned in the drive comparison section.
At LTO-2 certainly the IBM drive had higher native throughput figures
and a quicker access time. In terms of reliability, again on LTO-2, I
have not seen any obvious winner.

Subject: [Networker] LTO-3 (go with IBM or HP?) hitting from Windows2k3
over the SAN
We're about to receive a new ADIC Scalar i2k tape library with LTO-3
drives.
What's the word on IBM vs HP LTO-3 drives ?
We've had IBM before in the LTO-1's and ..2's
Thanks - John
