Oh, in that case, I can give you a perl script I wrote that does
something like that, but with the proviso that you understand that
the numbers it generates are really meaningless. The only accurate
way to assess if a given system's backup was accurate is to recover
the data to a test system and compare it to the original data. What I
wrote is simply a way to make management THINK things are working okay.
