I would recommend nexsan storage check it out at @ www.nexsan.com - it
sounds as if you would need either the ATABOY or ATABEAST arrays - they
are fantastic value for money.

Greetings,

Looking to implement some 'disk as disk' with NetWorker 7.1.3 running on
a Linux RH ES 3 server.

Done some testing with an iSCSI storage array which worked well but that
storage is planned for other things.

Just looking to throw some disk on our server for now and use it that
way (no SAN environment at this time).
So I was just wondering if anybody has bought some lower priced ATA
storage array and used it for this purpose and would like to share their
experience. I was intriged by the Apple Xserve RAID array's price which
for about $10,000 would give me the storage I need (<3TB).

I'm leaning towards some sort of a Networked Storae array vs some basic
external array as I could more easily re-use it later if the cost is not
significantly higher.
