We had a situation like this a little while ago. When the server started up it tried to run an nsrck -ML1 to verify its indexes were okay. The nsrck process froze and prevented the system from coming up. We traced this back to an XP workstation that was running the Networker Administrator. When we shutdown the workstation and restarted networker the nsrck ran fine and the system came back up. Our environment is networker 7.1.3 on solaris 9 and the workstation was XP professional 2002 SP2 with networker 7.1.3 client installed.

Perhaps this will point you in the right direction.
FYI,
Jon

Hi,

I have a great problem.

When I try to start networker /etc/init.d/networker start

I get the following errors:

It looks very strange. I cannot even start the nsrindexd manually.

What can I do??

with best regards
