I ´ve edited the servers list, the hosts list. Please help.


You are taking the right approach. Three points:

(1) You have of course edited the servers file ON THE CLIENT? Of courseyou have. And you have put the FQDN in as well as the short name?

(2) After changing the servers file, you need to restart the NetWorkerRemote Exec (nsrexecd) service on the client. Have you done this?

(3) Are you editing the correct servers file? I have sometimes seencases where due to subsequent installs of different versions there areredundant directories that look like they should be the right place forthe servers file.

4.2 - 5.x:      ...\win32app\nsr
6.x:            ...\Program Files\nsr
7.x:            ...\Program Files\Legato\nsr

which is further complicated by the fact that an upgrade preserves theprevious location.
