Subject: [Networker] Could not run savefs: Resource(s) in use
Greetings,
We recently upgraded two cluster nodes to the new Networker
Novell client (version 7.2). (The cluster nodes are running
NW6.5SP4a which includes all Legato-recommended updates.) We
can manually run a client backup from the Networker server
(RedHat 9, Networker 7.2.1.Build.311) for all of the cluster
resource clients. However, some of the (cluster resource)
client backups fail when run from the schedule for our Novell
group. For example:
* clusto_classes_pool_server:classes: 4 retries attempted
* clusto_classes_pool_server:classes: nsrexec: authtype
* clusto_classes_pool_server:classes: Could not run savefs:
Resource(s) in use
The corresponding entries in daemon.log look like:
10/24/05 02:00:00 savegrp: command 'savefs -s
trinity.stolaf.edu -c clusto_class es_pool_server -g
STO:Novell -p -l full -R -v -F classes: ' for client
clusto_cl asses_pool_server exited with return code 1.
* clusto_classes_pool_server:classes: nsrexec: authtype
* clusto_classes_pool_server:classes: Could not run savefs:
Resource(s) in use
10/24/05 02:00:00 savegrp: clusto_classes_pool_server:probe
will retry 4 more ti
me(s)
with the above repeated 3 times.
The server parallelism is set to 16. The cluster resources
(networker clients) parallelism is set to 4.
Anybody seen this?
