Re: [Networker] SAN data migration

One of our Linux gurus came up with a neat trick: zone a LUN from each SAN (old
and new) into a Linux box and use dd. Very low tech. Very effective. Very fast.

I have a question for a SAN spécialist.
I have to reorganise the disk in my SAN for a big 2TB client "Vrep"
Windows file system. The data is in a storageworks MA8000(HSG80) and I
want to move it temporarely in another MA8000(if possible or internaly if
not). I dont want to make the copy by Windows becose it will take forever
(10 Millon of files). Can I use an internal scsi command or some disk
mirorring fonction to do the tricks?
What will you do, what will be the step to follow?
Thanks in advance.
