I've not implemented PowerSnap with the CDL, but did a large project in teh US
with two CDL's. As far as NetWorker is concerned, it's just another tape
library. One issue that you have to be careful of is back ending the CDL to a
tape library. I would not recommend it, and would, instead, use NetWorker
cloning to a real library and then export that way. Also, I would definitely
recommend cloning. Disk is not perfect and a backup on disk llocally does not
protect you from site disaster. The setup I did can actually be viewed as a
white paper on the OpenVMS journal on the HP web site.

We will be getting into Powersnap next month to back up our SAP R/3
Oracle db's. We have both a CDL and a physical tape library. We plan
to send the data to the physical library vs the CDL. We would be
interested in your input and suggestions.

I'm looking for anyone with any experience configuring and setting up
Powersnap for use with EMC Clariion disk, and we have the added bonus of
also using the Clariion CDL (Clariion Disk Library) which is basically
