Re: [Networker] firewall ports

Hi,
Legato needs port 7736-9937 for Service & 10001-30000 for Communication.
There is a way to calculate & reduce the no. of service ports -
For Networker Server -
2+3+2T+P+C
where T is no. of locally connected tape devices.
P is server parallelism
C is maximum no. of clients to be backed up at the
same time
For Storage Node -
2+2T
where T is no. of locally connected tape devices.
For Clients -
2 i.e 7937 & 7938
After determining the no. as per your environment, Use Options ->Configure
Ports. Type the name of
the server/SN/Client and alter the port range.
Legato recommends opening all 20000 ports for ease of communication.
Regards,
Anuj
