I noticed that I was a little behind with my patch 113277-24. I'm downloading
the latest patch 113277-35 and will install it on Saturday.
I will keep this mailing list informed if I notice an improvement on the long
term.

Thanks
Vincent

We had a similar problem with our SDLT600 drives (but they were
SAN-attached).

There's a Sun patch that might help: 113277. From the release notes:
(from 113277-27)

5103484 HP LTO-3 (Ultrium 3) Support Required Natively in st tape target
driver
6183286 SDLTx20 I/O timeout value inadequate
