Here is how I did this. Well, I was configuring a multi-homed storage
node, but it should still work.

Each interface will have a distinct IP address and name in DNS. Let's
call them server-100 and server-gig. In the client entry for the
server, make sure both names are in the host alias section. Then you'll
configure each client so that server-gig is listed in the storage nodes
attribute. When the clients send their data to the storage node,
they'll use the IP address for server-gig, on the gigabit interface to
send the data.

I successfully tested this on a sunfire v240 running 6.1.4. It had
three gigabit interfaces, on three segments. prod, dmz, and dev. So
I had the following DNS names for each interface

storagenode (on the prod segment)
storagenode-dmz
storagenode-dev

I had the storage node attributes on the clients set to just
"storagenode" and I realized that the dmz and dev clients had to
traverse our 100mbit firewall to get over to the prod segment. Having
the aliases set up properly for the storage node, and reconfiguring the
dmz and dev clients touse those aliases as a storage node made sure I
was using the multi-homed interfaces properly.
