Looks like you are having a problem with your firewall.

Try swx software, then you can tunnel trough and you are using only 1 port on
the firewall.

Betreff: [Networker] Networker not performing restores without manual
intervention

Hi,
I'm running Networker 7.2 on a Linux box, with a Pathlight VX 650
as the jukebox. Backups run fine without error, but when attmepting some
test restores that require more than one tape, networker loads the first
tape and then just continuously spits out the following:

In NWRecover:

NSR server `astro.ebi.ac.uk': busy
nwrecover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying
NSR server `astro.ebi.ac.uk': busy
nwrecover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying
NSR server `astro.ebi.ac.uk': busy
nwrecover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying
NSR server `astro.ebi.ac.uk': busy
nwrecover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying

In NWAdmin:

Wed 15:21:14 astro.ebi.ac.uk:/net/nfs5/vol10 (7/08/05) done reading
Wed 15:21:44 /dev/nst1 mounted LTO Ultrium-2 tape AP0010 (write protected)
Wed 15:21:44 astro.ebi.ac.uk:/net/nfs5/vol10 (7/08/05) done reading
Wed 15:22:14 /dev/nst1 mounted LTO Ultrium-2 tape AP0010 (write protected)
Wed 15:22:14 astro.ebi.ac.uk:/net/nfs5/vol10 (7/08/05) done reading
Wed 15:22:44 /dev/nst1 mounted LTO Ultrium-2 tape AP0010 (write protected)
Wed 15:22:44 astro.ebi.ac.uk:/net/nfs5/vol10 (7/08/05) done reading

And it stays like that indefinitely. If I manually mount the other 3 tapes
it needs for the restore (which aren't listed as needing to be mounted
in the messages), then it suddenly kicks off the restore and it completes
fully.

Why is this happening?

Cheers,
Gavin.
