Is a firewall located between your NetWorker server and the client in question? If so, there might be a problem that's slowing down communications between the client and server due to the firewall. If the server cannot communicate back to the client that it is done, or vice versa, the server might initiate another backup even if the previous backup was successful. You might try placing on the client, the environment variable

  NSR_KEEPALIVE_WAIT with a value of 30 to see if that helps.
