Hi,

We have LTO-3 at a site or two (mainly running on RH Enterprise 3) - brilliant 
performance and stunning capacities ... but SDLT600 has a similar argument 
(slightly slower, slightly less capacity), I suppose it depends on what type 
you currently use.

As for tape manufacturers - we dont have a brilliant selection over here and I 
am not about to punt anything - but - what I have found is to try and stick to 
the tape manufacturer closest to the drive manufacturer. So have a look at what 
make drive it is.

Most of our client's tape / media related issues have been when they have used 
media other than the type preferred by the drive manufacturer (other than the 
"normal" media failure which we love so much ... ).
