Do I understand this correct:

If you use a LLM, you need to put all licenses in the LLM? (except for
the base enabler)?

That would be difficult: all our licenses are in the backup server and
only for snapimage they ask for a LLM.

But I think the license issues are solved, and that it is reallly a
"rights"-issue. I posted some more info in the thread: "SNAPIMAGE on
windows" about the rights of the user who starts the NDMP service on the
client. If you have experience with snapimage, can you take a look at
that info

Thanks

Hi,

I stand corrected. Snapimage *used* to have a license specific to it,
entered via its own command line. From the docs, it looks like you use
License Manager to apply the license now.

If you are using license manager for the snapimage license, and it
doesn't work, you can either run snapimage in a debug mode to see the
error, or open a case with support...

Thanks Eric!

If you are using LLM then that's where licenses go. If you're not, then
the license goes on the b/u server. It does not work (read supported)
to have an LLM serving some licenses and then having some licenses
entered locally on the b/u server. (It may work, but it certainly won't
be supported. It's documented in the LLM admin guide.)
