You have to seperate media types into pools, and then assign pools to
drives. The bad thing is that NetWorker ignores pool/drive associations on
restores. If you ever have to do a restore, load the tapes manually first.

All,
Is there anyone that has a library with devices of different media types
(DLT and SDLT)? If so, how do you designate that certain volumes go in
certain drives. It seems that if I use the correct barcode labels, the
library actually knows what the media type is for a tape. I ran into
this little tidbit this past weekend when I couldn't label any media
from Legato b/c I was using SDLT labels and there were only DLT drives
enabled. I don't know whether using this feature of the library is good
enough or if I should separate into different pools.
Thanks,
Brian
