Well, we're getting a bit closer. In terms of stability, we're at about 90%.
Still not where
we want to be, but closer.

We've installed the Adaptec 6.3.9 scsi drivers with the 2.4.29 kernel. Bus
resets are down
to 1 or 2 a day. These are occuring when networker is trying to load or
unload a bunch of
tapes at once, so we can live with it.

We are still getting tape devices disappearing. This seems to be due to a
3e13 error on the
jukebox. This is a " Drive Connection State Transition - Drive Not
Responding" message.
This error is on the jukebox and not seen by the server. So it appears that
when this error
pops up on the jukebox, the server loses track of the drive (which is
understandable)
and never recovers (which is unfortunate). So Storagetek is looking into
this problem now.

Anyone out there had these errors? Any resolutions to these errors?

Ken
