A couple of LTO-2 drives would work great. Both Dell and HP sell low-end
tape libraries, or StorageTek/ADIC work great if you want to splurge.

The Mammoth-2 does have a major backhitch problem, but we have been able
to prolong their life by:
1) Ignore the idea of "self-cleaning tapes". Put a cleaning cartridge in
the library and set the cleaning to every 2-3 days. Yep, every 2-3 days.
2) Upgrade the the very latest firmware. They fixed a few of the
problems with backhitching.
3) If you have had a backhitch problem, then probably a number of your
media are already bad and even after you do #1, and #2, they can cause
problems. Identify the tapes that have errors and toss them.
