We have some clients configured to use blat in the 'Owner Notification'
field of the selected clients to send an e-mail to a group of addresses
(people who want to know the backup status of specific clients). The Blat
command in the 'Owner Notification' is formatted as:
blat - -subject "ClientX Backup" -to
add1 AT domain DOT com,add2 AT domain DOT com,add3 AT domain DOT com

What appears to be happening is that when the savegroup completes, it
sends out the normal savegroup completion message via a blat command we
have setup in the savegroup notification (which seems to be working fine),
and at the same time it sends the client completion messages out via blat,
but the mail-server gets some of them at the same exact time and cannot
assign a truly unique message-id to each. This is causing the mail server
to lose the individual message contents, leaving only one. We've
identified which messages are getting the same message-id and it appears
either the first or last one is the only one making it through (we can't
really tell which is first or last since the message-id/time on all three
is the same). The e-mail for clientX gets sent, but not for clientZ.
The line from the log that reads:
<<<getline<<< 250 2.6.0 <01c50e59$Blat.v2.4$39321889 AT domain DOT com> Queued
mail for delivery
appears to contain the unique message-id assigned by the mail server.
With the -debug option one, the following is what's logged in the
daemon.log on the server:

Has anyone else experienced this problem with Blat?
I see a -maxNames <x> and -delay <x> options on Blat and wonder if we need
to be using these options to spread the messages out over time so they get
unique message-IDs ?
