You have a few ways of doing this.
You can mark a tape "read-only". It will not use this tape for writing
(unless you later turn off the read-only flag).
nsrmm -o readonly <volume>
You could also mark it "full", even if it's not. This has a similar
effect to readonly.
nsrmm -o full <volume>
You could also create separate pools. Make 7 pools, and use one of them
each day. Then any tape used one day won't be used the next, but you
can still let the tape fill up.
