Re: [Networker] Legato 7.x Enabler issue

My 2 cents ....
Under NetWorker 7.x, NetWorker modules for Windows licences have
been tierced, based on CPU count, what can cause the problem you
see to be displaied.
In addition, under Networker 6.x, you could use more networker modules
than available licenses. Upgrading to NSR7, license usage has been
reengineered, resulting in possible backup failures due to
missing licenses.
You should check with your legato representative for having right
licenses installed, based on client CPU count and OS they are running.
To obtain detailed license usage, issue :
nsradmin -s <SERVER>
nsradmin> show status
nsradmin> print type:nsr

Subject: [Networker] Legato 7.x Enabler issue
After upgrading to Networker 7.1.1, I have run into some enabler issues
which appear to be a timing issue. The error message is: "Networker
Module for Oracle, Windows Client/1 is not properly enabled for client
xxxx"
This same error has occurred with Exchange modules. It seems if you have
started to backup a server without a business module configured also,
you may run into this problem. Though one suggestion is to delete the
client resource, that does not appear to be a sound solution to me. For
some reason Networker does not always appear to pick up the enabler
license. Has anyone found a better solution than what Legato suggests.
I still have an open ticket on this matter with my var who I told I was
not happy with Legato's supposed solution for a server that I have
backed up for a long time, but now wish to add the business module.
Anyone from Legato is also welcome to reply since your documented
solution in my opinion is not acceptable. Deleting a client will also
delete the index.
This problem by the way has occurred on old and new enabler codes.
