DDS works quite well between Networker server and NAS (Celerra or
Netapp) devices.
As always when using SAN and DDS you should pay special attention to
zoning, bus resets avoidance and same tape block size on all connected
systems.
There is no real restriction to have NDMP and nonNDMP savesets on the
same physical volume.
As an NDMP device cannot write nonNDMP savesets and a nonNDMP device
cannot write NDMP savesets, Networker will assure that the "mount
requests" are going to the proper devices according to backup type and
device capabilities.
HOWEVER, it would be a good practice to separate NDMP and nonNDMP
backups by using different pools.

I should qualify my answer above. Without DDS or some other type of
drive sharing (such as AlphaStor) my statement is true. I don't actually
know how it would behave with DDS, I haven't tried it.
