Greetings all.

We are looking for help with what appears to be several Networker problems.

1. We have had no success setting up DDS in this environment. Have tried
several times, with scsi resets causing the tapes to be marked full. Fabric
zones are created with separate host HBA's -> each Tape/robot device.

2. We are seeing slow performance to adv_file devices on an EMC Cx600

3. We have what appears to be locking problems when more than one nsrjb
command is issued either by the admins or by nsrd.

4. We are seeing failures from clients that are running Solaris in.mpathd

5.Our Netware clients with large filesystem never complete backups.

Our setup:

Three Dell 2650 with Dual Xeon / 4 Gig ram
dual qlogic 2312 HBA attached to two brocade fabrics where Cx600 and
STK_L700e live.
The L700 is only in fabric B since it is tape.
1 Server with small overland library that is to be used for bootstrap saves
only. 1 Tbyte adv_file device for all Netware backups. (We were told by
Legato that the Netware client does not send it's data to a storage node,
that if you configure a Netware client to use a storage node, then the data
is really sent to the server then to the storage node.)
2 storage nodes that have two 1 Tbyte adv_file devices that all backups goto
1 storage node that drives the L700e. all other storage nodes stage data
from adv_file devices to this storage node. We want DDS so that each
storage node can stage it's data directly to LTO tape from the L700e.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
