I am! I'm not using savepnpc. In my environment (where I use VMware
occasionally to provide a bunch of client systems), I shut down all virtual
systems before I do the backup, which then becomes just a standard Linux
client backup.

If I were backing up running virtual systems or systems where I cared about
the data in the virtual systems, then I would install the NetWorker client
in each running virtual system, and back them up through the LAN (or SAN, if
this is supported yet).

The documents at http://www.vmware.com/pdf/esx_backup_guide.pdf and
http://www.vmware.com/pdf/ESXBackup.pdf, while old, provide some guidance on
the various backup options.

Anyone using Networker to backup the ESX on VMWare (Linux)? We have
versions 2.0, 2.1.0, 2.1.1. and 2.1.2. Problems?

Do you use the savepnpc? What are the commands?

Hello everyone

Are there any way that I can run a verification on the tapes to see
what's being backup?
What I am trying to do is compare data on tapes with data on disk

Thanks,
