We have a 100MB/sec network which is used for data and backup.

Our backup

currently
do not see backups moving more than 11MB/sec per drive.

Do you mean standard 100 megabit (100bT) or gigabit (1000bT) ?

If you are using standard 100 megabit networking, then 100Mb / 8 bits /
Byte = 12MB/sec.
Writing at 11MB/sec would be good. If you are using gigabit, then how
many drives are you running at 11MB/sec?

Performance problems usually come down to either the network or the
ability of the client to read data fast enough. Assuming the server
has enough capacity, of course.
