Hi,

This is a MS issue. You need to cleanup the corrupt RSM database to resolve
the issue.

Remove the files - NTMSDATA, NTMSDATA.BAK, NTMSIDX & NTMSREG from the
C:\WINDOWS\system32\NtmsData directory. Leave the sub directories & files in
them. 

Start RSM Server service.

Hi all,

   a costumer's W2K client is experiencing errors when trying to perform
the backup of SYSTEM DB. The Legato server has NetWorker 7.1 Power Edition
running on AIX 5.2.

   The output we get when trying to backup is the following:

* asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ 1 retry attempted
* asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - rsmow: Cannot export the
database: 0x00000005
* asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - Error saving
* asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ save: RPC error: RPC cannot encode arguments
* asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ save: save of SYSTEM DB:\ to escala3 failed
09/16/04 14:49:42 savegrp: asfn1:SYSTEM DB:\ will retry 0 more time(s)

Does anyone have experiencied this kind of errors? Any help will be
appreciated.
