We had weird problems after we changed out smtpserver.  We upgraded to
blat 2.2.2 and it works fine.  Just an idea as our problems where a
little different than what you are experiencing.

Here's how it looks:  blat - -t me AT domain DOT com -i Networker@backupserver
-s "Savegroup result" -log blat.log

The log file (blat.log in this case) shows timeout messages from our
smtpserver.

Blat works just fine from from the command line.
