herein. If you have any questions regarding this product alert, please

Problem Description
With the release of Windows XP, Service Pack 2 (XP/SP2), Microsoft is
including a new version of their firewall. This firewall is
automatically and silently configured on all network interfaces,
unconditionally. With the default configuration of this firewall, any
application which relies on RPC communication, including NetWorker, will
cease to function.
Problem Resolution
LEGATO has investigated this Microsoft change and determined several
alternatives which can be used to prevent a backup failure. Descriptions
of all options are provided in Technical Bulletin #399 available at
<http://www.legato.com/resources/bulletins/>
