We parse the savegrp emails and scan them for successful/failed saveset
reports. We then feed this data into our monitoring system for corrective
action by the operator. Our monitoring system can then generate
availability reports.

In your case, you should probably get perl to write data into a SQL db
(or similar), to summarize the data and enable a reporting engine to
create statistics/trends etc from that data.

This suggestions is, obviously, a suggestion to a do-it-yourself solution.
I'm sorry that I can't share those scripts with you, since they are the
property of my company. But it should be fairly easy to re-write if you
know perl. :)
