I wish I could take credit for this...but it's from an email by Davina Treiber.

How can I run a command on the server that will run an nsrjb command to control
a jukebox connected to a storage node?
Using nsrexec, the same as nwadmin does. The following commands are an example
of how to accomplish this on Unix:

# export RUSER=root
# export RCMD="nsrjb -s servername -j jbname -L -b poolname -S1-10"
# nsrexec -c storagenodename

-------
Hope this helps. I can confirm that it works fine in a master/storage node
environment. And any command you can run on the storage node can be entered in
the RCMD variable.....

To clear up some confusion. It looks like you are trying to specify a
Jukebox name for you to do a reset on. If this is the case and this is your
ONLY jukebox then you do not need to use the -j option. If it is NOT your
only jukebox then you should specify it. Also is this storagenode part of
your networker enviroment? Meaning:

Networker server = Server with nsrjb.res
Storagenode server = Server that is attached to the jukebox.

If so I have noticed that you sometimes need to specify the -s option with
an nsrjb command if all of your devices are on a remote storagenode.
Sometimes the short of long hostname will work. I am trying to figure this
week if it is a bug or not. The quickest work around is to just login to
your SN server and issue the nsrjb command. My problem is trying to issue
the nsrjb command from the NetWorker server.

Hope this info helps a bit.

I know it's possible, I had to watch (or scan) my messages to find out the
nsrjb command being passed to the daemon in order to issue nsrjb commands on
the server.

Hmm, maybe it's strange to answer one's own posting, but I found out that I
can start any command I like if I do that on the storage node.

So is it not possible to control the storage node's JB from the server?
