This is what we use for LTO-2's

NSR_DEV_BLOCK_SIZE_LTO_Ultrium_2=64
export NSR_DEV_BLOCK_SIZE_LTO_Ultrium_2

64k has worked really well for us.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [Networker] Block Size

Good morning to all,

We have an ADIC Scalar 100 tape library with 2 LTO Gen. 2 tape drives.

What is the block size setting in the Unix-AIX O/S that will push these
drives to their best performance?

thanks,
