Hi Networkers,

I just upgraded my networker from v6.x to 7.0, no firewall between those
servers. My SAN environment as below:
- all server running W2K using DDS sharing with a HP SDLT drive.
- Server A : Backup server/Storage Node, Networker 7.0
- Server B : Client, Networker 6.2 (SAN Storage node)
- Server C : Client, Networker 6.2 (SAN Storage node)

One of the most reason why i upgraded to v7.0 is to fixed recover
problem, on networker v6.2 when i need
to recover some files i got below error message (recover through
networker user, then choose directed recover,
then choose source and destination server):

- :Lookup failed on server jktfs01.ind.root (then i click OK - no
other option)

- :System Error: Bad file descriptor (then i click OK - no other
option)

- No index was found. You have not backed up any files from this
machine, if you are doing directed recover you
have not backed up any files from the selected client, or you need to be
connected to the server as the supervisor

To solved this issue, on Networker v6.2 i have to reboot the server, and
on networker v7.0 i just need to restart
the "networker backup and recover" service.

What go wrong ? Any ideas....

Regards,

Hendra
