Does the node where the tape is mounted to be the same
the one that wrote the backup ?

You can fix tape block size using environmental
variable (see admin guide for NSR_BLOCK_SIZE_<DEV_TYPE>)
to be set before nsrd startup.
With nsr7xx, you can also edit device per device and force
same block size to be used in way of using default one.

A workaround is to highlight block size problem
than can occurs with mix of Windows/Unix DDS sharing devices is
to mount manually the volume on the storage node that
wrote the backup before calling rman for recover.

we use networker 7.1.1 on a san with dds and dedicated storage node. When
we
backup our oracle database with nmo 4.1 and Rman all it's ok with 2
drives.but when we try to restoring, networker doesn't recognize the
block
size.
configuration: dedicated storage node=hp11i itanium
library msl5026 sl on san with a NSR
