After 1 month, the files may have left the index; however, Networker still
has knowledge of what's on every tape (via the media database).

In particular, it has knowledge of where the index is on tape from 1 month
ago. To recover your file you'll need:

a.) Tape with full backup of index
b.) Tape with level 9 backup of index closest to your 1 month date.
c.) After, tape with actual data/file on it as called out by the index.

These may or may not be the same tape. The command below with find all
the indexes needed. The list above is important if you need to recall tapes
from offsite.

Quickest way is to use:

nsrck -L7 -t date_you_want clientname

This will mount and merge your index from then. You can then browse and
recover your file. Make sure to let it run to completion.
