I RTFM the rman admin guide.  Unrelated suggests bouncing the daemons, so I
look to see which daemons are running.  I saw _all_ the Networker server
daemons - nsrd, nsrmmdbd, lgtolmd, nsrindexd, and the client nsrexecd-s.  I
ask my Unix admin to bounce the daemons.
