You allocate a group to a pool and then limit a pool to a devices. This
gets one group to one device at a time
however there is no redundancy for drive failure and probably more pools
than you need. You will however be
able to start 4 groups at a time to 4 separate pools and devices.

Hope this helps,
Richard

Hi all,

I have a four drive tape library. All the media pools for the backup
groups contain 5-6 media.

I want to configure the backups to run in such a way that for one backup
group only one drive is used at a time. Currently if I set target sessions
to 1,2 or 3, when the groups start, it picks up 2 media from the pool &
writes simulatneously. I am not able to start more than 2 groups at a
time.

Please suggest me a way out.

Regards,
Anuj
