I'll assume your running Windows (2000 or 2003?). Try disabling the
Removable Storage Manager service if it isn't already.

I am in the process of doing a migration from Backup Exec to Legato
Networker. Currently there is a autochanger attached but is being used at a
stand alone tape drive. After I nstalled Legato and disbaled Backup Exec I
tried to do a JBCONFIG to setup the autochanger and could not see it. I
remember in the past a reboot is required for Legato to gain control and
wanted to know if there was any other way of doing it w/o the reboot since
uptime is critical.
