Greeting,

Oh yes, now the ATL come back and saying their DX30 doesn't support fcp2 and
we are in the process of getting another HBA for AIX machine. I think this
setup is the first in south-east Asia.

Subject: [Networker] NW 7.0 using DX30 backup

Hi folks,

Anybody playing with DX30 with NW and would like to share experieces :)
I am using NW 7.0 with DX30 backup (simulated as 2 x DLT7000 drives) via FC.
The backup server is AIX 5 and #inquire command can detect the DX30 (P1000)
and two drives. AIX server HBA is Emulex and DX30 HBA is Qlogic via Cisco
MDS 9216 switch. All drivers are up to date. Problem come in when we trigger
a backup then error message : jukebox dx30 failed : I/O error or Invalid
arguement. After that we realized the #inquire couldn't see the DX30
jukebox.

Initialy we thought it could be version problem, but trying NW 6.1.4 and NW
7.1.1 to no avail, even worst, both doesn't able to detect the virtual tape
library.

Any help offers will be pretty much appreciated.
Cheers....
Robert
