Have you tried killing the nsrmmd.exe process alone to see if this
resolves the issue? Better than a reboot or stopping the group. The
nsrmmd.exe will restart.

I also run win2000 and legato 7.1.1
This sometimes happens to me too with both clones and backups too.
In the group control window I see a "clock" icon or "cloning" icon next
to the group but no data is being written to the tapes
The system is just doing nothing. There are plenty of blank tapes and
available tape drives.
I've never solved it, I usually have to stop the group or reboot the
server to fix and I lose my clones
I then rerun and its fine

I have to open a case with legato on this.
Let me know if u solve it.

Evan

Subject: [Networker] Cloning

Networker 7.1, Windows 2000

OK! I need some real help here with Cloning. My Clone Sets NEVER
complete. Every morning when I come in the cloning sessions are still
running and when I look at the status they are "writing, idle" and
"reading, done". When I look at the perfmon counters for "Write
kilobyte / sec" there is no activity whatsoever. How can I make sure
that my clones continue to run as scheduled? AND if they are hung how
can I nudge them along? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brian
