Hi,

I have the following simple setup :

Networker 7.1 server with 2 drives.

2 groups, Default containing the networker server itself and few other
clients, and another group (STM) containing a few clients

I have 4 pools. DEFfull and DEFincr (Default full, and default
incremental), STMfull and STMincr (you guessed it).

I'm having a problem with incremental backups of the default group. All
the client's data get backed up fine to the DEFincr pool, but the server's
bootstrap saveset fails, because it wants to be saved to the DEFfull pool
(I guess the bootstrap is always backed up a full level).

Is there a way around this ? I'd like to bootstrap to backup to either
pool... and I would prefer not to add another drive just for the
bootstrap...

There are other ways to configure this rather than using pool
restrictions based on level. You could have two DEF groups and two STM
groups, and set schedules differently. Each pool would have no level
settings (i.e. allow any level), but would have just one group assigned.
The full groups would skip on the days when the incremental groups run,
and vice versa. That should do the trick.
