Hi there,

To do a hardware reset "only" - you will just need the -H option (the v or
vvv is to verbosely display additional information).

If you specify a E along as well the library will perform an "Element Status
Check". It will let the library run a check on all its elements. If you run
this in conjunction with a inventory the inventory will take longer to
perform.

I normally do (if necessary) a -IEv after I have performed a -Hv

Hope this helps,

Regards,
Riaan

Subject: [Networker] NSRJB Command

Hi all, I run the nsrjb command with the -HEv option when I want to reset
the tape library. I was told that it was not necessary to use the -E option
when running the command. I read some documentation about the -E option, but
am still not clear on it. Is there anyone out there who is familiar with
the -E option and exactly what it does and if it is really needed during a
hardware reset.
Thank you all for your help,
Cecil Hypolite
