I am not aware of any 8 character bar codes for LTO ultrium. What is
normally used is 6 characters (alpha A-Z, numeric 0-9, and or certain
allowed special characters in any combination thereof). I have spoken
with many companies and sales people on this matter, and it's always 6
max plus an L1 or L2 identifier for either first or second generation
LTO drives. The identifier is not part of the sequence you select but
SHOULD appear on the bar code, trailing the actual sequence itself.
