Running 7.1 on 32-bit Solaris 8 server

(1) There's an error about permissions for /nsr/bin that shows up during
the install. This is bug ID LGTpa61110 and is supposed to be fixed in
7.1.1.

Will not be upgrading to 7.1.1 any time soon because 7.1 is okay for us
right now.

(2) Upgraded from a 6.1.3 installation with special tape drive handling
patches. Networker 7.1 has worked well for us and fixed a lot of tape
drive hang issues. Two other things to watch for in Networker 7.1 for
Solaris:

a. The man file compilation at the end of the installation almost seems to
hang. It seems to take forever, but does finish after (maybe) 5-10 minutes.

b. The NWAdmin GUI option for mounting a cleaning tape doesn't work. If
you select a drive and try to mount the cleaning tape from its slot,
Networker checks the media database and fails to mount the cleaning tape.
There is a command line workaround for this problem. Not sure if this
problem is patched in 7.1.1 or not.
