Hi,

I'm in the process of replacing my aging firewalls (Checkpoint) with Sun
V210s. And I wanted to test a disaster recovery scenario using an
identical (spare) V210.

Here's the setup :

BoxA
V210 with 2 36Gb disks
Solaris 9 64-bit Core install
Two filesystems : / and /var
The disks are mirrored using SVM.
Networker Client 7.1
Checkpoint Firewall Software

I backuped BoxA (using the All save set) to my Networker server (7.1 on
W2K3) with no problems.

I took BoxB, which was identical to BoxA, minus the Checkpoint software
and did this :
Renamed it to BoxA, and gave it the same ip address.
Took the configuration card of BoxA and put it into the "new" BoxA (BoxB).
Recovered with : recover -a -f / /var
The recover went well, so I issued a "reboot"

Now the new boxA starts booting Solaris 9, and then panics (disque0 is my
nvalias for HD0):

I fscked both partitions / & /var with no luck...

This is the first time I'm dealing with software raid and SVM... so I'm
kinda lost... any special steps when recovering / ? Any files to exclude ?
Should I break the mirror before restoring ?

Thanks,
