Hi Hrvoje,

the protokoll said there are not enough space, but how much space is
requiered ? There are 9 GB free space on both disk 's to build the index.
That should be enough for 1,6 million files. Or not ? In the legato
releasesupplement is a formula :

? For nsrndmp_2fh, multiply the number of entries by 64.
? For nsrdmpix, multiply the average number of entries per directory by the
average depth of the directory tree times (the average filename length +
16 + 24) + 32 times the number of entries.
Once you have determined the two values, determine which value is higher
and add 3 MB for the required swap space total.

So I count for nsrndmp_2fh 1624470 Files * 64 = 100 MB.
For nsrdmpix I count a smaler value.

My question is how much swap space I need to avoid this error message ? And
are 9 GB not enough ?

Best Regards

Dieter Wick

you don't have enough space - it clearly says so. You need to have enough
space in tmp area for index after to be saved. The protocol itself how it
works has been discussed before on the list. You need to increase disk Z
where NSR\TMP is.

Cheers,
Hrvoje

when I start the backup with this command: savegrp -D5 -vvv -l full
