No problem just glad to hear Legato is listening about how stupid jbconfig is
:-) and not just making jbedit a 7.1 only feature.

Interesting.

I am running 6.1.3 on W2K and just downloaded jbedit.

I placed in the NSR\bin directory but when I run it I get message an
error
pop up about

The procedure entry point prompt_numeric could not be locates in the
dynamic
link library LIBNSR.DLL .. OK

Any ideas? I have some storage nodes that I just took off line and
would
love to not have to rerun jbconfig.
Any documentation on it?

Hallo Leigh,

in nwadmin in details view of the menu media -> autochanger or jukeboxes
there are some fields which must be changed:

the media list: add new drives here
number of drives: increase by 2
number of devices: increase by two
loaded slots: there is an empty line for each device, add 2 more empty
lines
loaded barcodes: there is an empty line for each device, add 2 more
empty lines
loaded volumes: there is an empty line for each device, add 2 more empty
lines

to change the jukebox resource all drives must be unloaded.

Should work like this. You can do it online.

Bernd

Betreff: [Networker] Adding tape drives to a jukebox

I am trying to add two more tape drives to my Networker jukebox. I only
see directions that tell me to delete my existing jukebox, and create
another that contains all four drives. I cant create a new one using all
four drives, my only option is delete. I wanted to build a "test"
jukbox and see if it could see all my volumes (tapes). I tried to "add"
the drives to the jukebox but it wont take. Networker recognizes the
devices but cant operate them. My concern is when I delete the jukebox I
may whack my volumes' DB and/or the new device wont see the volume DB.
